Why I want to meet Matt Mullenweg
I’d like to thank him for WordPress. I love WordPress. Then I’d ask him why my wordpress.com blogs were shut down.

Zak Greant gave a great talk at Open Web Vancouver 08. He doesn’t have to talk all flashy-like because his content is so great. I didn’t get a chance to shake his hand after his talk and I wish I did.
He can teach me a few things about money. He obviously knows his stuff.
I met Roland at DemoCampVancouver06. He likes to play with his camera phone.
He’s a big kid. I try to keep him in mind as I ‘grow up’. Age alone doesn’t necessarily need to change you. I remember seeing him win vert at the Transworld Skateboarding Championships at Expo 86 Vancouver when I was only 8 years old. Skate fashion and board design has changed a lot since then but aside from getting better and better, Tony Hawk hasn’t changed that much.
Studying ‘The 7 Habits’ has been immensely helpful to me. Few authors have had as much impact on me as Stephen Covey. (And I’ve read thousands of books)
Seeing him on Larry King Live with his son a few months ago renewed my admiration in him. He seemed to still have an infectious enthusiasm for life. I hope to have the same positive impact on my children as he does with his.
I started listening to Rush because of the drumming. Neil Peart was my hero. I use to think they’d be a better band if they had a different singer. But then I heard a band covering ‘Spirit of Radio’ (my favorite Rush song) and it sounded wrong without Geddy. That’s when I realized how integral his vocals was to Rush’s music. I am now a fan of his singing and I can’t imagine Rush without him. He also happens to be the best Rock Bassist to walk the face of the Earth.
The Professor had a huge impact on my life. If it wasn’t for him, I’d be a much better guitar player, lol! I took long breaks from guitar playing to try and learn how to play drums like Neil (never happened). I’m not a mystical guy, but for me, there was always something fantastically magical about RUSH. Best band to come out of Canada.
Great imagination. He provided me with hours of entertainment with the ‘Song of Ice and Fire’ series. I really lose myself in his stories like no other books. (except for maybe LOTR, but it’s too late for me to meet Tolkien)
